Baler Description
When renting a baler from the KWIPPED network of suppliers be sure to know the size of bales you need before choosing a model. Most balers are capable of making various size bales, but if you need small bales a mini baler may be best for you. Also be sure that you have the appropriate tractor for attaching your rented baler.
Features of balers
Balers are made to be pulled by tractors; they will have hitches to make this possible. Inside the baler will be a combination of rubber belts and fixed rollers that draw the material into the baler as well as compact it into the bale shape. The rear of the baler will be on a hinge to allow for ejection of the completed bale.
How balers work
Once the material to be baled has been cut a tractor is used to pull a baler across the field. Rubber belts and fixed rollers inside the baler compress the cut material into a cylinder or rectangle shape. Once the bale reaches a pre-determined size it is wrapped in netting or twine and ejected out the back of the baler. If you would like your bales wrapped in plastic for creating silage you will need to rent or lease a bale wrapper; balers do not wrap bales in plastic.
About balers
Balers compress cut materials like hay, straw, and cotton into cylindrical or rectangular shapes for transport and storage on farms. The bales are wrapped in netting, twine, or wire to hold their shape. Once wrapped the bales can be moved with a bale spear/spike or grapple hook on a skid steer or tractor.
